Kintamani Highlights Tour: a day full of hidden gems just waiting to be explored…
The area of Kintamani, is where the highest mountains and volcano’s in Bali are located – Mt Agung (3031m), Mt Abang (2151m) and Mt Batur (1717m). The natural scenery is spectacular, the air fresh and clean and the sights such as temples and agriculture unique to the area. Kintamani has long been a day trip for Indonesians but now is becoming popular with international tourists.
Many tourists get up early and hike Mt Batur for sunrise, which we also recommended. See Here. But for families, older folks or those that don’t fancy an earlier start or 2 ½ hiking we have designed this day tour.
We will start our day exploring the highlights of Kintamani by stretching our legs after the drive and stopping beside a scenic farming area near Lake Batur. Guests can enjoy a relaxed walk at their own pace, taking in the surrounding farmland and learning about local crops and traditional farming in the region.
For those who would like a deeper experience, a guided farm walk with a local expert can be prearranged as an optional extra. Please inquire when booking.
The second stop on the Kintamani highlights tour is a visit to Pura Jati Batur, a small yet beautiful temple located on the lake. As you wander through temple grounds your guide will explain the history and significance of this ancient temple. Here is also a popular fishing spot for local children.
Next up on the Kintamani highlights agenda is relaxing at a Luxury Private Hot Springs, where you can relax and unwind in the healing waters while enjoying panoramic views of Lake Batur and the surrounding mountains. Feel your tension melt away as you soak in the rejuvenating hot springs, surrounded by the 3 majestic mountains.
Then it’s time for lunch at a café with a spectacular panoramic view directly in front of Mt Agung, Bali’s highest and most sacred active volcano. Soak up the view and take some photo’s as a memory of this very special place, away from the crowded tourist areas.
