My wife had a little incident slipping on the last waterfall we went to and very thankful Icha was there to catch and help her, otherwise it would have been worst. I booked Balinese water purification with Ubud Traveler, and it was one of the best experiences of my trip to Bali. The tour was well organised and provided a deep understanding of Balinese culture, spirituality, and history.
My guide Darma, started with meditation under an old Banyan Tree. He explained each step of the water purification clearly (with great English). The complete experience was both calming and so insightful into Balinese Spirituality. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for Balinese traditions and the importance of water in daily life and spiritual practice. I left feeling peaceful yet refreshed. I will definitely continue to book this every time I return to Bali
I highly recommend Ubud Traveler for anyone looking for authentic, well organised cultural experiences in Ubud. This was a highlight of my Bali holiday.

My recent trip to Bali was a long time coming! After many changes and cancelled trips, my trip I had planned for years finally came to fruition. The main goal? To experience a day of spirituality to help quiet my thoughts, bring me some peace, and heal my heart. The timing was perfect 🙏🏻
This experience was above my expectations. Everything was provided and guided. I was picked up from my villa in Uluwatu. Your location is not an issue! You can be located anywhere and the guide includes pickup and drop off. I was taken to a sacred cave temple where I had a guided meditation. I cannot explain the beauty of this location.. there was no one. NOT one other person. Just me and my guide in the middle of a jungle with trickling waterfall and running springs. The stillness and peacefulness of this location was undeniably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in my travels. And then off to the sacred temple with holy spring water and learning about the source of this holy spring, the ritual and engaging in the water purification process and cleansing. Truley and Absolutely amazing and highly recommended !

I just had the most amazing week in Bali thanks to the incredible coordination, thoughtfulness and professionalism of the team at Ubud Traveler who arranged my tours and drivers during my stay in Ubud.
From the moment I contacted them, they were responsive, offered practical advice on the tours, answered every question I could come up with and set me and my travel companion up for a magical and transformative once-in-a-lifetime trip.
We spent most of our time with Darma as our driver and guide. He shared with us his deep knowledge of Bali, was always on time, made sure that we were safe in our hikes and walks, and his warm personality really made the trip special. Extra special was his ability to answer our questions and offer advice on the fly about events that we hadn’t booked yet including dance performances and other temples, waterfalls that were worth a visit and most importantly, spa and massage therapist recommendations – so great!
In all, we arranged our transfers to/from Seminyak, went snorkeling, had a highlights tour of Ubud, were led through the Water Purification Ceremony at Tirta Empul and met with a guru, did a sunrise hike on Mount Batur and attended the most fun and delicious cooking class at Periuk. Throughout the week, the team at Ubud Traveler were responsive to our whatsapp messages and made sure that everything was going well. I would recommend them (and Darma!) without hesitation, particularly for women traveling alone or in small groups.
