Today, Ubud has blossomed into a global epicenter for holistic well-being, and you don’t need to spend a fortune to reap the benefits. So why not schedule one day during your Bali holiday as a day for personal reflection and growth ?

The Balinese have 3 main Meditation methods which are taught from preschool age by family members and also at school. This is how the Balinese have mastered meditations and use meditation in everyday life.
Our owner felt that teaching Balinese Meditation methods at locations where meditation and mindfulness has been practiced in Bali for centuries would have a profound effect on the student by offering a life lasting memory. The first meditation location was originally a 9th century monastery. Soak up the calming early morning energy and be guided through the 3 Balinese mediation methods as you sit inside these ancient caves.
Melukat Water Purification (Balinese water purification) is a different meditation method. The Balinese believe water is a very important element as the human body is made of 70% water. The aim is to cleanse and purify the body with the pure spring water from the ground, not yet touched by any being. Pent up anger and emotion can be let loose so that the mind can release negative energy and move forward. Balinese water purification is a beautiful and powerful healing experience, that we are excited to share with you!

What our guests are saying about Ubud Traveler’s secret cave meditation and Balinese water purification experience:
We began the day early with a guided meditation at a sacred temple where you can truly feel the spirituality of the place — and best of all, we had it to ourselves, away from the crowds. Right after, we visited Pura Tirta Empul for a purification ritual, an ancient tradition that is deeply moving and absolutely worth experiencing. Dharma, who was actually born and raised just
behind this very temple, guided us through it with authenticity and care. I 100% recommend Ubud Traveler, and if you have the chance to tour with Dharma, even better. It’s a journey to the soul of Bali ✨

We had the most beautiful experience doing cave meditation with Dharma then water purification after that. Was a day of complete soul searching and healing which is what I needed after having lost my mum only weeks prior. Being in Dharma’s presence and having his guidance is honestly an absolute blessing and I’m so grateful for him and all he shares about his teachings in relation to meditation plus sharing all his knowledge about spirituality I just feel so full of life and gratitude after spending a day with him!

I decided to dedicate one day of my Bali Holiday to Self Care, Healing & Soul Searching so when I found this Balinese experience it seemed perfect.
Being from Australia where everything seems so fast pace now, I wanted not only time for myself but to receive a different perspective on life.
I have always loved Bali but after having this experience I now truly believe the Bali and the Balinese people have true healing spirit. I had so many downloads, ahaha moments or spiritual guidance come to me during the cave meditation and water purification that I will book this experience with Ubud Traveler every time I come back to Bali. Thank you Darma and everyone at Ubud Traveler. The day was pure magic unforgettable
